From a tough
to a scientific
"Sailing for the ocean we want,
and the science we need."
Hrimfare was built in the early 1990s as one out of ten Challenge 67 feet steel racers, prepared for the toughest sail racing competition of its time: The Global Challenge – racing around the world "the wrong way" and against the prevailing winds and currents. She sailed four times around the world – with one professional skipper and thirteen amateur crew members onboard.
Hrimfare will be re-launched in the spring of 2024 – after being extensively renovated and upcycled into an advanced research vessel during 2018-2023. Ready to welcome groups with up to 10-12 guest crew members onboard.
