Our next season starts in May 2025. We will honor those of you who book early and for longer times with generous Early Bird Offers as described below. An early booking guarantees space onboard and gives you the advantage of having more of a say about the time, the stretch and if you want to charter the "full boat" or allow guest crew members to hop-on-hop-off along the way. As time goes by and the price goes up, bookings may be done by other sailors or researchers​​

Price levels:
These are preliminary price levels for the season starting in May 2025. Commercial prices for charter, all-inclusive with professional crew (more details below). Look upon the price levels as a preliminary budget tool for your initial planning, and then get in touch for details and a quote.​
*– 12 persons in total onboard: 5-10 guests/scientists and 2-3 Hrimfare Certified Crew members.Condition: Empty positions can be used by Hrimfare for external Guests Crew members.
– Including access to Hrimfare (with crew) as a project exhibition platform at harbor stops, pop-up exhibitions and opportunities for you to invite stakeholders and partners for workshops, meetings, exhibitions, etc.
– Pre-booking "Early Bird X" before December 31st, 2024 guarantees the availability for the sailing season May-October 2025, with consideration taken to other ongoing and/or preliminary bookings. Bookings other than full boat is accepting Hrimfare to offer empty positions to external Guest Crew members.

What is included and
what is not?

Professional skipper: Minimum RYA or IYT Yachtmaster Offshore or Ocean, commercially endorsed with STCW Basic Safety, First Aid, and Medical Care training. Experienced first mate with minimum STCW Basic Safety certification. If there is a maximum of nine guests, then one additional experienced crew member with Basic Safety certification.

Personal safety equipment: Gill Ocean Heavy Weather Gear and a Crew Saver Extreme 270N automatic personal flotation device with integrated safety harness+teather and automated AIS MOB personal locating beacon.

Berth for guests in 4 double berth cabins: (8 comfortably, on which could be expanded to 10) if wished. Charging of phones and personal devices with USB connectors. Pillows and blankets provided, sheets and/or sleeping bag and towels to be brought.

Food & drinks onboard: Selected with sustainability priorities (organic, locally produced, high vegetarian content as much as possible), after dietary requirements from all persons. Eating out will be paid for each expense. Alcohol is not allowed during passages.

Sustainable lifestyle: Hrimfare crew sails under a Sustainability Policy when onboard that includes the galley (kitchen), utensils, detergents, recycling facilities, and zero waste ambitions and dialogues.

Fuel: Renewable energy (sun, wind, water) is mainly used, but the engine and genset are sometimes needed. Propane is used for cooking.

Harbor and marina fees: including extra charges for power onboard.

Access to satellite communication: At personal expense when outside cell phone coverage.

Satellite tracker: AIS transponder provides positioning of the yacht, which enables tracking.

Safety briefings and sail training: Mandatory for all onboard. Team building elements are included in the educational passages.

Inflatable dingies: Available with electric outboard engines in natural harbors for marine environment exploration.

Pop-up exhibition tent: Available in harbors to showcase the project and expedition.

Repositioning of yacht: Starting and ending position within Baltic and 
Scandinavia included free of charge for charter exceeding 14 days.
NOT INCLUDED:

Personal and Travel Insurance: Hrimfare has insurance, including maritime protection and indemnity insurance for skippered charter.

Insurance addition: For Arctic Sailing and Svalbard rescue insurance addition. Price increases can be shared between projects of the whole season.

Travels and accommodations: Traveling to and from Hrimfare at crew members' expense.

Delays: Coverage of extra costs incurred to guests if arrival is delayed due to weather or other unforeseen factors. Planning with several days spare time between participants departing and new parties arriving is recommended. Re-bookable travel arrangements are recommended.

Personal expenses: Costs on land when visiting harbors and marinas.
